I’ve been re-watching the Largo Fundamentals, and Greg you talk about the “tongue stop” and the “tongue stopping the air”, but when I do the BackSwing and the BCH, it doesn’t seem to me that my tongue is stopping the air.

Could you clarify? Or is this something that will become clear as the course goes on?

I have just started WindWorks and am currently coming to the end of the Largo stage. It’s an amazing journey.

Before I started WindWorks I was pretty depressed with my trumpet playing, was on the point of giving up. I’m an intermediate player.

My question for you Greg is… do you think it’s essential to carry on our normal practise routine…[Read more]

A quick question about lesson “Largo C# Singing C – Step 2”.
Can you explain what’s meant by “play The B AND E on 7th Position”?
It was my understanding that the 7th position is with all valves pressed down?
Also the pentagram shows Gflat then G natural followed by C natural, which are normally played in the open postion…

Could you clarify?
Many thanks!

So I’m just starting out on my WW journey, and enjoying it very much so far.
Just at Largo stage as yet. Some of the concepts you talk about, Greg, aren’t new to me, and I’m looking forward to what’s to come.
But I’ll be honest. How do we have masters like Mendez on one hand, who say that playing takes no more breath than normal conversation,…[Read more]
