for what it’s worth, I picked up a book by Greg Fishman. The
book has 10 original jazz pieces, with chords and trumpet melody
written out. There is an accompanying CD that has the songs with
the trumpet, piano, bass and drums. They repeat without the
trumpet for you to play the trumpet part.

The book is “Jazz Phrasing for Trumpet Volume 1” by Greg Fishman.
