My journey began last July. I have completed the Foundation Level. Often wondering if I am really getting it. However, before moving to the Premium Level, I decided to review all of the Foundation Level. I was pleasantly surprised at how much easier it was than than when I went thru the first time. However, the real proof of progress was when I recently played a Big Band gig, a Christmas Dance. It included a half hour sound check and then a three hour dance with only one break. I had no endurance problems. I felt very strong up to the end. I think I am now ready to jump into the Premium Level.
      Thanks to you Greg!!

Awesome, congrats! Thanks for sharing. I have noticed that as well–when I was younger, my range was limited and endurance extremely limited. Now, I feel like I can play as long as I want (although I have limited time to play) and have my full range the whole time.

I’m up to the Presto level and I also have more endurance and more range! The community band I play in just had our Christmas concert and I was able to get through it without my chops being totally worn out. Prior to starting this course I was struggling to get out a strong high E. Now, I am playing a double G! Though it’s not a usable double G yet, but I’m getting it to sound fairly well. I’m certain that as I progress in the levels that I will learn how to sound those double G’s with power!

Hey guys, thanks for the comments. The first thing I noticed when I was developing all of this was too the recognition of greater endurance. This is of course due to better efficiency and better efficiency will then in turn develop your range as you stop fighting the horn and trying to force the upper register.

All the best and have a great Festive Season.
