Ok, I hear you. But it *does* have a detrimental effect on my upper register when I go from L to ML horns. Every. Single. Time. I’d love to be able to unravel the mystery as to why this happens for me.

I’ve played on a large bore Bb since I was in 8th grade. I’ve owned two Bb’s that were ML bore twice in my life, and spent about 3 or 4 years playing on both. I’ve never been able to really make them work in the upper register.
