I was doing the aaahooo per instruction but when the MP hit the lips I was not keeping the lips in the same shape. By keeping the lips slightly pursed as the oooo suggests when the MP is placed then using an attack I finally formed the apperture I need to be playing with. It almost feels as if I am making a circle with the lip for the rim to rest upon, leaving the inner lip to respond to the air. I waited 5 days to post this after my breakthru to make sure it was real and that I had a reasonable way to repeat the results. Everything immediately got better, tone range, less effort – and I don’t get very tired after a session and can get in as much time as I can devote, not as much as I can take (used to be much less than I could devote). And my lips actually feel good after I finish, and I don’t remember that happening ever. It honestly feel like the flesh under the MP isn’t doing anything. I am so glad I stayed after this until I got the benefit and I now understand. This is huge to my progress and the sound gets really big at much lower volume. And it feels so good not to struggle!
