Does anyone have a recommendation for a teacher or a course that approaches singing in the same way that Windworks does, i.e. minimal effort, use of no more than the appropriate tension in the right places, pitch comes from shape change, volume comes from active exhalation, etc.?

Is there any benefit to do a relaxation routine for the facial/jaw muscles involved in the embouchure and, if so, where can I find one?

So I’ve had one lesson with Greg where we worked on the non-instrument stuff (BCH breath, tissue work, etc). After that and several days of experimenting, I’ve gotten to the point where I can do this (https://youtu.be/3zIGzr8iL1c) on the trumpet.

…but we’re trying to set the air in the trumpet vibrating.

That’s why we don’t need to push/blow into the trumpet, we just need to strike the air column enough to start it vibrating, and then maintain the vibration for as long as we want.
