      Can I not get the same effect if I use a piece of copper tubing into which I can snuggly insert the mouthpiece?

      Also, can I not just pull the slide out and use the lead pipe on the trumpet?

      Yes and Yes. You’ll see in one of the videos I use a boba/bubble tea plastic straw, even through that is environmentally frowned upon here in Australia. 🙂

        Thanks for the prompt response. The lead pipe on the trumpet is what I’ll use for now, and I’ll get a piece of copper tubing, for a couple of bucks, for more convenient use and portability, in the near future.
