I sometimes get confused by the feelings of just running out of air(without choking)..it is a similar sensation of choking..I am checking in at the end and I don’t think I am tightening up…I appreciate you answering all my queries 🤔…Jim

Hey Greg…I really have tried to focus on that feeling of the air right up to the tongue and/ or lips…truly made a difference in the spirit of the sound…thanks👍…Jim

so…I take breath…backswing…then the slingshot…at that point the air seems to be just falling into the horn..no direction to it or any sort of intensity to it. I am not suggesting a ‘push’..but it just feels weak and lifeless to me..Jim

I have confusion now ….the full concert hall breath which I do understand gives me a sensation of an expanding upper body..everything very open. There is no sensation of a deepness to it ..it doesn’t feel like it goes to the bottom. I would think the air gets to the bottom but there is no sensation of that. Thanks Greg..I still struggle with just getting the mouthpiece to my lips..taking a breath and releasing it without a lot of commotion..a lack of trust I suppose but it does frustrate me. Sometimes I feel like I can’t even get the air into the horn…anyway…Jim

I always believed the corners were where the top and bottom lip met…in reality, it’s where the lips contact the mouthpiece. That revelation has made a significant impact already on my playing ability…am I correct?
