Yesterday I was listening to ‘Moto Perpetuo’ by Niccolo Paganini in a version by Wynton Marsalis on YouTube. I didn’t know this piece of music until then. I have to say I was more than deeply impressed! The piece consists of a string of 16th notes that move in all directions and never stop. I read that you can only play it with double tongue and circular breathing. There is no time to breathe conventionally.
Anyone have experience with circular breathing? What is the best way to learn it? Is circular breathing compatible with Greg’s method? It’s a cool thing when you can play longer phrases without constantly interrupting them because you have to breathe.
Thanks for your interest
